If your walks take you to the beautiful Sienkiewicz Park, be sure to visit the Natural History Museum, which dates back to 1930. Here you will find exhibits and specimens rarely seen in Polish natural history museums. The total number of artefacts in the museum is estimated at over 100,000, with insects being the most numerous group.
A major extension and modernisation of the museum has recently been completed, creating an educational and cultural centre with modern exhibitions popularising natural sciences. A significant increase in exhibition and storage space (around 800 m2 in total) has made it possible to create new exhibitions and to store and conserve the collections properly.
