Which one of you has ever been in an old pharmacy? Probably several! But has any of you ever prepared a medicine? Hmm… Here, probably only pharmacists would give a positive answer…
And still! At the Lodz Museum of Pharmacy, you will get all the necessary components to make your own placebo!
The museum is located in the oldest pharmacy of Lodz dating back to 1839. The special touch comes from the fact that this tenement house was rebuilt by the famous architect of Lodz secession, Gustaw Landau-Gutenteger. Tourists may stroll from one room to another admiring original furniture from Vienna workshops, a collection or iron cast mortars, and interiors from the turn of the 18th and 19th century. Part of the exhibition has been borrowed from the Museum of Pharmacy of the Jagiellonian University with which the museum collaborates.
