Łódź Design Festival is currently the most important event related to world-scale design in South-Eastern Europe. It displays design in various versions – from industrial design, through art and craft design, graphic design and architecture, to fashion.
Łódź Design Festival is an idea, people, and action. Its beginnings can be found in 2007 and at its foundation lies a formula of the overview of achievements of Polish design. Thanks to the dialogue with audiences established right from the start, the festival program was enriched with new elements until it achieved its present form.
ŁDF is also a part of the city strategy which, after the fall of the textile industry, has successfully built its identity based on creative industries. In its past editions the festival was visited by over 400 000 people from all over the world. The festival is organized thanks to a long-term support of the City of Lodz and the Festival Patron – Ceramika Paradyż.
