The Botanical Garden in Lodz is one of the largest gardens in Poland. On the area of 76 ha, there are over 3400 species, kinds, and mixes (taxa) of ground plants, and around 2000 taxa of greenhouse plants. Together with the nearby City ZOO, Józef Piłsudski Park, called by the inhabitants “Na Zdrowiu”, and the nature reserve Polesie Konstantynowskie, it constitutes over 250-ha green lungs of the city. In its current form, the garden was opened to the public in stages, beginning in the 1970’s. The Palm House situated in the Źródliska Park also belongs to the Botanical Garden.

Apart from the incredibly diverse nature found at the Botanical Garden, visitors can also see the plant open-air museum with flower species, herbs, and fruit typical for the Polish countryside, presented on the background of a country cottage brought directly from the village of Ldzań. During summer season, numerous workshops and lectures on nature, exhibitions of various blooming plants, as well as recreational, cultural and scientific events are organized.
Botanical Garden is open every day from 1 April to 31 October:
Visitors may enter the Botanical Garden during the time in which the ticket counters remain open. After the ticket counters are closed, entrance to the Garden is not allowed. The time after the ticket counters are closed is for the visitors inside to leave the Garden.
The holders of the Lodz Large Family Card pay half the price of the entrance option listed in the price list.
