The School Youth Hostel in Lodz located at 13 Ludwika Zamenhofa St. is located in a 19th century tenement house which was thoroughly revitalized between 2012 and 2013 as part of the MIA100 Tenement Houses program.
The hostel welcomes guests who come to Lodz for touristic purposes, educational courses, trainings, conferences, cultural or sports events, as well as business or private matters.
The rooms are equipped with comfortable beds, nightstands, lamps, closets, TV sets, radios, tables, chairs, and some of them have lavatories. Full sanitary units are located in the hallways as well as on the ground floor next to the reception desk. 21 rooms offer the total accommodation capacity of 49.
PTSM and IYHE members have the right to a 10 % discount, whereas the holders of the “Distinguished Tourism Activist” or “PTSM Gold Badge” have the right to a 50 % discount at the SYH in Lodz.
Guests have at their disposal:
- dining room / workshop room for 44 people, interior parking for 8 cars (PLN 12 /day) and vans (PLN 16/day), fully equipped self-service kitchen, computer station, Wi-Fi, launderette, luggage storage, garden, hair dryer, iron and iron board, educational games, folders, brochures, guides for Lodz and its surroundings.
The Hostel offers groups free-of-charge assistance with the organization of their stay (planning the stay, booking entrance tickets), full board (catering), i.e. breakfast (PLN 10/person), dinner (PLN 15/person) and supper (PLN 10/person), as well as provision of guide services.
The facility also organizes free-of-charge educational classes in the area of history and culture of Lodz and its region, after previous arrangements made by writing to szkolneschronisko@gmail.com.
At the Hostel at 13 Zamehofa St. it is possible to purchase PTSM and IYHF member cards as well as stamps for the national PTSM cards.
