DoubleTree by Hilton in Lodz is the first facility of this brand located in Poland, which combines cinematic traditions of 29 Łąkowa Street with modernity and professionalism. This four-star hotel was opened in July of 2013 in the place of the former Feature Films Studio. It offers 200 comfortably furnished rooms, a wonderful swimming pool on the 10th floor, and spacious and exceptionally equipped Conference Center. Over the past years, the hotel has gained the affection of numerous guests due to the high level of service, individualized approach to guests, and unique cinematic feel.
29 Łąkowa St. where the DoubleTree by Hilton Łódź is situated, has been permanently engraved in the history of Polish cinematography. After World War II, productions which to this day delight film lovers all over the world have been created here. For many people, the Lodz-based Feature Films Studio has become synonymous with quality and art, which is proven by numerous film awards and Oscar nominations. Among the most famous works produced here we can find Jerzy Kawalerowicz’s “The Pharaoh”, Andrzej Wajda’s “The Promised Land”, Juliusz Machulski’s “Sexmission”, or Jerzy Hoffman’s “Deluge”. It’s also the home of some iconic TV series, such as “More Than Life at Stake”, “Queen Bona”, and “Four Tank Men and the Dog”.
