The former complex of Józef John’s Iron Foundries is over 8000 m2 of historic post-factory space that belongs to Okam Capital Sp. z o.o.
Project 217 Piotrkowska is aimed at the restoration of the glory of the place which in the second half of the 19th century was the biggest manufacturer of textile machines and metal elements in Lodz. The principal concept of the project is the desire to co-create the slogan “Lodz – Creates!” through the creation of the Creative Space (CS) on the premises of the facility. CS allows for renting spaces to talented people who wish to grow and who operate in the creative industry sector. Preferential conditions will allow them to conduct even the most original businesses. 217 Piotrkowska is a complex team of lessees from the area of gastronomy, culture, entertainment, and art. An additional concept is the introduction of an offer of events which form a series of exhibitions, workshops, concerts and festivals, as well as allowing for the place to be used for original ideas of those who wish to contribute to the creation of a positive atmosphere. A good example is the regularly organized Street Food Festival.
