ŁÓDŹ TOURIST LINES

The Łódź Tourist Lines are starting the new season with renewed energy! Historic trams and buses that have been carrying residents and visitors around the city for over 20 years are making a comeback — this time with a fresh new look. Thanks to a collaboration between the Łódź Tourism Organization, the Vintage Tram Enthusiasts’ Club, Tomasz Adamkiewicz (owner of the historic Sanok tram), Damian Misiak (owner of vintage buses), MPK Łódź Ltd., and the Łódź Road and Transport Authority, we’ve created routes that will show you a whole new side of Łódź.

Right outside the Łódź Tourist Information Centre (28 Piotrkowska Street), a special bus stop will be set up, offering convenient access to the entrance of the Orientarium Zoo and the Księży Młyn district. And this isn’t just any ride — you’ll be travelling aboard iconic vintage vehicles like the Jelcz 272 MEX (affectionately known as the “Cucumber”) or the articulated Ikarus 280, which was a common sight on city streets in the 1990s. A unique highlight this year is the double-decker MAN bus, making its debut on the Łódź Tourist Lines.

Just a few metres away, on Zachodnia Street, historic trams will run between Plac Niepodległości and Plac Wolności, as well as New Centre of Łódź and the historic Radio Station. Along the way, you might hop on a pre-war Sanok tram or the only surviving Konstal 803N, previously used on intercity lines and now modernized.
