Lodz is a post-industrial city which nowadays bets on modern services, science, and the creative sector. For over ten years now, the city has been experiencing violent development. New hotels are being opened, entire blocks of the historical center are being revitalized, and in the heart of the city, on an area of 100 ha, the New Center of Lodz is growing. Local authorities and entrepreneurs realize the significance of the industry of meetings and events, which is evidenced in the fact that in 2017 the Lodz Convention Bureau, operating within the structures of the Lodz Tourist Organization, was created. Wide selection of high class conference facilities, including, particularly, special, historical, and post-industrial buildings, combined with its central location is what makes Lodz a convenient place to organize both national and international events.
