City Information System

Since 2005, the city has had a visual information system that graphically refers to the system used in the capital city of Poland. It is based on red and blue as well as red and brown (in areas with valuable tourist attractions) boards that contain the name of the street and the city area, and the ordinal number of the property. For the purpose of this system, a new division of Łódź was introduced, which resulted in dividing the city into 56 tourist areas, corresponding to historical regions (3 areas in the Śródmieście, 17 in the Bałuty, 14 in the Widzew and 11 in the Górna and the Polesie districts).
